Amavubi coach Sredojevic Milutin Micho has asked his players to be more ruthless in front of goal.

After watching his side draw against Eritrea’s Red Sea Boys, last Friday, the Serbian has urged the players to be more clinical, this afternoon, when the two sides face-off in the return leg of the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier at Amahoro Stadium.

In recent games, the team has been criticised for wasting so many scoring opportunities; one of the reasons it struggled during the 2012 Nations Cup qualifying campaign.

"We could have won it easily in Asmara but we failed to take our chances,” he noted.

"That killer instinct just isn’t there at the moment and it’s something we need to develop.”

"I have no doubt the players have taken these setbacks on board. They suffer just as much - if not more than the rest of us.”

While Micho was reluctant to discuss which team he will put out this afternoon, Proline’s Charles Tibingana is expected to play a part in the tie. The right winger, who was overlooked for the first leg, brings sheer pace to the side.

Eritrea’s coach Negash Teklit Negassi has also challenged his players to see off Amavubi.

"Drawing at home is not what we were hoping for but this is new challenge and we look forward to it,” he said.

The first leg ended in a 1-all draw. Tesfalem Tekle gave Eritrea the lead in the first half only for Elias Uzamukunda a.k.a Baby to equalise for Amavubi nine minutes into the second half.

The winner joins Mali, Algeria and Benin in Group H of the qualifiers.
