I read in the media, last week, that The Netherlands might soon start trying Genocide crimes following the approval of a bill by the Dutch Parliament that will extend the mandate to prosecute the crime. This is encouraging news to all Rwandans especially the survivors of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.

The move sends a clear message to other European countries to pass Genocide laws so that all those responsible for such heinous crimes are brought to book.
