Wearing plaid pattern

Fashion is more interesting today than it has ever been; in fact fashion is now one of the biggest businesses that anyone can find themselves being involved in. Whether it’s the old Chanel boyfriend jacket or the new Burberry clothing line, one can tell that fashion is getting better by the day.I have been interested in fashion since the time I was very young, but I have never experienced this fashion frenzy before.

Fashion is more interesting today than it has ever been; in fact fashion is now one of the biggest businesses that anyone can find themselves being involved in. Whether it’s the old Chanel boyfriend jacket or the new Burberry clothing line, one can tell that fashion is getting better by the day.
I have been interested in fashion since the time I was very young, but I have never experienced this fashion frenzy before.

Fast forward and plaid is back in a bang. Plaid has been there and it has been worn in ages, but plaid come back in the fashion scene is now bigger than ever before. Big names in the fashion industry like Betsey Johnson, Burbery Prorsun and Angelo Marani have all launched their plaid designs and the fashion world has gone crazy.
A few years ago plaid was heavier and mostly made of wool. Thanks to innovation, plaid can now be seen in silk and cotton.

Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Emma Watson have all been spotted in different versions of plaid, from shirt dresses, to trendy shirts paired with jeans to a mini plaid dress.
Plaids have moved away from the old heavy type to cotton and silk. But that’s not all; forget about the plaid that was so synonymous with girls’ boarding schools then; this time round they have been modified from the dull plaid in schools to maxi dresses, dress shirts, shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses, and even more interesting are the boyfriend jackets made out of plaid.

Plaid looks good whether it’s a mini or a knee-length. Plaid miniskirts always look cute-but this is only when its for a night out; knee-length plaid skirts also work, as long as you downsize your top half with a form-fitting jacket you are good to go for any executive meeting.
Plaid usually has at least three or four different hues interwoven in the design, giving you a wide palette of colour choices, but they can now be found in many colours from subtle to the bold and brazen, with bold blues, purples and soft muted greys and blacks.

It can be very tricky when matching plaid pattern, when pairing a plaid make sure the tops are always solid, a subtle design or in one or two colours. Another no-no rule when pairing a plaid is never to wear plaid from head to toe unless it’s a one piece dress.

When it comes to accessorising, plaid pattern has its simple rules. Plaid looks really good when paired with funky shoes. Laced up boots and clunky clogs are the right shoes for the plaid skirts. Chunky and thick heels are just right for a plaid dress. When wearing a plaid shirt paired with jeans, boots is the way to go.

Simple jewellery works well with plaid, a lot of jewellery can create confusion going with the plaid pattern.
Whether you wear a plaid shirt, a skirt or even a plaid dress, whichever way you find it working for you, plaid is back and looks even better.

Wear your plaid this season fashionably and enjoy every bit it.
