Local singing group, Just Family, is organising a fundraising concert on Nov. 25, to support people in Somalia, who are struggling with a devastating famine that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands.
The charitable activity will take place at the launch of the group’s second album titled ‘Bindimo’.
Speaking to The New Times, one of the group members, Bahati Habiyambere, said that all the proceeds will be offered to Rwanda Youth Campaign for Somalia, a youth umbrella currently raising funds for Somalia.
"We have already given this campaign 100 CD’s for sale and raised more funds. This particular act is an additional effort by our group,” Habiyambere said.
The event will be held at Lemigo Hotel. The concert is expected to attract various local artistes and Uganda’s songbirds Keko and Sheba.
