Editor,

Over the last few years, a lot of criticism has been levelled against the national soccer team, Amavubi, even on occasions when this is not justified.

Such critics, especially, journalists only pile pressure on the coaches, players and the staff as if that would help the team win games.

In order to qualify for the next World Cup in Brazil, all Rwandans should rally behind the team. We need to have patience because as you remember, most of the youth who represented us at the just concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico are still too young to withstand the pressure and jibes often thrown at players.

It is noteworthy that the Government of Rwanda has already offered to support the new coach and his staff.  What remains is to play our part as fans to qualify for World Cup in 2014.
