MICHEL Gasigwa has been named new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the local football governing body (Ferwafa).
Gasigwa, who is currently attending a referee instructors’ course in Congo Brazzaville, takes over from Jules Kalisa, who resigned back in August citing adverse working conditions.
According to Ferwafa President Célestin Ntagungira, Ferwafa will reap from Gasigwa’s vast knowledge of local and international football.
"He has been around long enough and has good knowledge about local and international football,” Ntagungira said.
The 47-year-old former referee beat 13 other candidates.
