AMAVUBI coach Micho Milutin Sredojevic is leaving nothing to chance ahead of Rwanda’s 2014 Fifa World Cup first leg qualifier against Eritrea.
The 42-year-old told Times Sport, yesterday, that the wasps will be preparing for any eventualities, like bad refereeing, weather, pitch and hostile crowd.
"To win away matches, we need to prepare for all sorts of scenarios that may either be to our advantage or disadvantage,” Micho said.
The Serbian edged Nigeria’s Stephen Keshi, Patrice Neveu (French), Branko Smiljanic (Serbian), and former Amavubi and Black Stars coach Ratomir Djukovic to the Amavubi job.
Although he has started national team duties, he is yet to put pen on paper on the proposed two-year-deal that tasks him to get past Eritrea in the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers, guide Rwanda to their second Cecafa Challenge Cup title, 2013 Africa Nations Cup and 2014 Fifa World Cup.
Besides coaching SC Villa (Uganda) and St. George (Ethiopia), Micho had a brief stint with South Africa’s Orlando Pirates before joining Sudan’s Al Hilal early this year which he guided to the semi-final of the Orange Confederation Cup.
