The first-ever supper-size fashion show debuts this weekend on the Kigali fashion circuit.

local artiste and the founder of Alga Fashion Inc, Aline Gahongayire, the show’s organizer, said, "It’s simply about time that fashion speaks to all women.”

She said: "Through this event, we intend to change the western belief that slim or petite models are the only ones that can succeed in the fashion business.”

"We would like to give fashion a more African approach and create a platform for big models in a respectful, recognisable and profitable manner,” Gahongayire noted.

The songbird hailed the show as: ‘Big is Beautiful - Our Size, Our Beauty.”
