Rwandan traditional music singer Ruti Joel has promised his fans the best during his ‘Intore Cyane’ concert slated for Saturday, April 1, at Hôtel des Mille Collines.
Ruti, one of the country’s traditional music artists, will headline a big concert for the second time since he released his maiden album, Musomandera, in January. The 10-track album dedicated to his mom is Ruti’s first big project ever since he ventured into music business in 2012. Musomandera is still topping the charts.
"Intore Cyane will be an experience that any music lover wouldn’t wish to miss. We will dance, sing, chat, and do everything that our grandparents used to do in ‘igitaramo’, a cultural gathering,” Ruti told The New Times.
"Let’s all come early and enjoy music that’s made in Rwanda.”

Saturday evening, Ruti told The New Times, will be a night of celebrating his new album that blends different styles of music including traditional.
The event, Ruti noted, will also feature activities such as dance and music plays that will help revellers learn and understand more about ‘Gakondo’ music, as well as also get a small background about the rich history of ancient Rwanda.
"This will be a good platform to share experiences that bonded Rwandans together in an atmosphere of truth, support and harmony.”
He will sing different songs from his first album and other hits produced in the past including ‘Igikobwa’, ‘Cyane’, ‘Rasana’, and others.
