I wish to react to a story that appeared in The New Times titled, "Aviation experts call for capacity building.”  True, the aviation industry will grow if we have experienced and skilled pilots, engineers and the entire staff.

Air transport is delicate and we need people with the necessary knowledge on air safety management systems.

Statistics have indicated in the past that fatal plane accidents are mainly due to lack of skilled cabin crew. Therefore, regular capacity building programmes are necessary.
