Micho said on Monday, "I need discipline to be maintained both on and off the pitch. Everyone should be at the right place on the right time doing the right thing.”
"If we are disciplined more than our opponents, then I assure you that we will get the ball rolling with success on our side,” he noted.
Micho further added that, "As we start preparations for Eritrea as well as Cecafa Cup, all coming this month, we need to work hard such that we can be in the right shape for Nigeria in the CHAN 2013 qualifier next year.”
"In my career I have never lost any match in Nigeria. I therefore need us to work seven times harder than them such that we can go there with the same spirit knowing what we need,” advised the former St. George and SC Villa coach.
Micho takes over from Sellas Tetteh who threw in the towel after a 5-0 thrashing by Ivory Coast in a 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier.
In his two-year contract which he will sign before the end of this week, Micho is mandated to win the two-legged Brazil 2014 Fifa World Cup preliminary round qualifier against Eritrea.
Other tasks include qualifying Rwanda to 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, 2014 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) due in South Africa as well as the 2014 Brazil Fifa World Cup finals.
The 42-year old will work closely with Eric Nshimiyimana and Rayon Sports’ head coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira. Former Ugandan Cranes goalkeeper Ibrahim Mugisha will be the goalkeeping coach.
Rwanda needs to beat Eritrea to claim the final Group H slot. Algeria, Mali and Benin are the other teams in the group.
After the Eritrea qualifiers, Micho will lead his team in the Cecafa Challenge Cup slated to run from November 24-December 10 in Dar es Salaam.
The Serb was chosen ahead of Ratomir Dujkovic, Stephen Keshi, Patrice Neveu and Branko Smiljanic who all applied for the post.
The highlight of his coaching career is leading Sudanese side Al Hilal to the semi finals of the Africa Champions League.
