Tell Chaka

Holiday time is what everyone child has been waiting for. Since holidays are fun, I talked to children from Kiramuruzi in the Western province who told me about how they would spend their holidays. Holiday time is what everyone child has been waiting for. Since holidays are fun, I talked to children from Kiramuruzi in the Western province who told me about how they would spend their holidays.

Richard Muhozi, 12 years, from Murambi Primary School in Kiramuruzi said that, during the holidays, he will help his parents to look after cows and goats. He also has plans of revising his books whenever he finds time.

Samuel Ishimwe, 10 years, old from Kiziguro Primary School that says in the holidays he will look after his chicken, cows and goats. He will also visit his grandmother who stays in Remera, in Kigali.

In this long vacation, Jean Bosco Muhirwa from Murambi Primary School said he will help his parents with domestic work like, fetching water, slashing the compound and looking after the cows.

Justin Mugabo, 14 years, from Kiziguro Secondary School has plans of visiting his parents who are in Gisenyi and helping his grandmother with domestic work.

Finally, Innocent Kwizera of Kiziguro Primary school says, he will help his parents to fetch water, firewood and do house chores.

Holidays are not meant to be wasted but are a special time when children and parents help each other. It is not polite to sit at home doing nothing. Children should find ways of engaging in several important activities while at home and with friends.
