Traditional music lovers of Kigali are in for a treat as they await Ruti Joel’s concert slated for Saturday, April 1.
Regarded among the best in the country, Ruti will be headlining a big concert for the second time since he released his maiden album ‘Musomandera’ which is still topping the charts.

Dubbed ‘Intore Cyane’, the live music concert will be held at Hôtel des Mille Collines.
Speaking about the upcoming show, Ruti told The New Times that it will be a night of celebrating the music that originates in Rwanda, as well as his new album that blends different styles of music including traditional.
"Intore Cyane will be an experience that any music lover wouldn’t wish to miss. We will dance, sing, chat, and do everything that our grandparents used to do in ‘igitaramo’, a cultural gathering. Let’s all come early and enjoy music that’s made in Rwanda,” Ruti noted.
The renowned artiste further noted that he will sing different songs that appeared on his first album as well as other hits he produced in the past including ‘Igikobwa’, ‘Cyane’, ‘Rasana’, and many others.
Tickets go for Rwf40, 000 and part of the money will be consumable at the hotel.

Ruti ventured into music in 2012 after joining the Gakondo group where Jules Sentore and iconic traditional musician Intore Masamba are members. He started off as a backup singer for different local artistes and later launched his solo music career.
He is currently one of the best musicians, featuring in many music projects of 2022 such as ‘Rwanda Rw’ejo 2’, and Yvan Buravan’s ‘Twaje’ among others.
