The equipment which is worth Rwf 180m is made up of top rate bicycles which cost USD 10.000 (about Rwf 6m) each, over 1000 tyres, cycling shoes and over 400 pairs of jerseys.
"Our problem has always been lack of good bicycles but it looks like we have plenty now. The talented youngsters will be given bicycles so that they can get used to these pro-bicycles,” Boyer said.
The cycling equipment was donated by International cycling Union (UCI), and well wishers from the United States, Italy and Frence.
Meanwhile, 64 riders including South African based Adrien Niyonshuti will this morning compete in the 151km Tour of Kigali.
The race is a prelude to the prestigious Tour of Rwanda which is scheduled for November 20th -26th.
