LOCAL boxers have been invited to take part in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing tournament slated to run from December 20-30 at the KPT Benazir Sports Complex in Karachi, Pakistan.

The local boxing association (Raba) technical director Gashugi Kananura yesterday told Times Sport that the team has started preparations.

"The organizers have made it easy for us to compete because they are offered to foot most of the costs. All we have to do is cover the air costs,” he said.

Kenya, Central African Republic and Cameroon are some of the other African countries invited for the tournament.
