I would like to appreciate the Rwandan government in its move to change from analogue to digital broadcasting.

I was impressed with some benefits of digital broadcasting; some are high quality pictures, Power consumption of transmitters is very low, editing in the digital domain in broadcasting studios is much faster and safer as compared to analogue, copying a 60 second analogue spot, takes 60 seconds while 10 megabyte file takes only some few minutes.

And one frequency of analogue can operate a Television while in digital broadcasting a frequency can accommodate four to ten programs depending on the quality needed as pictures may not be clear after four stations.
