Dear editor,

‘The planned waiving of work permits for foreigners are poised to spark mixed feelings among Rwandans, who will be wary of likely tighter competition.

The issue of work permits is a contentious one in most parts of the world, however, in my opinion; Rwanda doesn’t need to have tight restrictions on foreigners working here.

Foreigners bring competition, and competition is healthy in the general development of a society.

We should always believe in open competition in all spheres of life.
