THE battle for this year’s second division league title kicks off early next month with 19 teams in contention.

Group A has Musanze, SEC Academy, Etoile de l’Est, National University of Rwanda (NUR), Rwamagana, Interforce, Pepiniere, Sorwathe and United Stars while Group B pits Muhanga against Esperance, Kirehe, Intare, Bugesera, Unity, Union, Aspor, Zebres and Stella Maris.

The top four clubs in each group will progress to the playoffs were the top two qualify for the Primus League.

Last year, Espoir and Nyanza were promoted to the top flight last season, while Muhanga and Musanze were relegated.
