Reports coming from several districts show that the tendering process is sometimes marred by irregularities especially in cases where winners are linked to leaders.  When tenders are awarded to friends, service delivery delays and there is a possibility that shoddy work will be undertaken. 

District tender committees should be composed of honest people who put the country’s interests first before anything else.
