HE may be the youngest candidate among the three aspirants vying for the Ferwafa presidency but Theonas Ndanguza is adamant that he is the best choice for the job.

The 30-year-old who has been fronted by second division side Musanze told Times Sport that if elected, his immediate goal would be to attract corporate sponsorship to the Primus league and the national team.

"The league needs more money because the package from Bralirwa is insufficient. The national football team should also have a sponsor like is the case with other national teams,” he noted.

The other candidates for the post are Alain Mukubu from Mukura and Celestin Ntagungira a.k.a Abega, a retired Fifa licensed assistant referee.

Elections for the post will be held today at Ferwafa headquarters in Remera.

The position fell vacant on September 12 after Brig. Jean Bosco Kazura’s resignation.

The General cited personal reasons for quitting.

The winner of the elections will see out Kazura’s mandate which ends in 2013.
