Obed Ruvogera on Saturday won the Tour of Huye also known as Ascension de Mille Colline after clocking 3 hours, 29 minutes and 2 seconds.

Emmanuel Rudahungu who rides for Rwamgana cycling club came in a second later clocking 3 hours, 29 minutes and 3 seconds.

Rubavu cycling club’s Janvier Hadji was in third place after using 3 hours, 29 minutes and 7 seconds.

Ruvogera’s win ensured that his club-Huye cycling club took home the overall prize of Rwf 0.4m.

A total of 72 riders from eight clubs took part in the 145km race that was sponsored by Tele 10.

This is the first of three races that include the tour of Kigali and the prestigious tour of Rwanda scheduled for end of this month and next month.
