Dear editor,

Allow me to extend my sincere appreciation to the MTN Rwanda management and their entire staff, for the tireless work they have been doing to meet the needs of their clients in country.

However, recently an abnormal situation came unnoticed and it looks as if the company is not ready to resolve it, as their clients wish.

The problem is a network failure. It is frequently off and on, thus creating a default when dialing and receiving calls.

This is a distressing experience that has not only stopped on the internal communication but also reported to have corrupted the entire ramming system.

It so happens that when you attempt to dial a particular number, the system reports that the number dialed is unavailable or that it has never existed. Just imagine a situation where you are having a serious and agent appointment. It is so frustrating!

The issue has ruined many things, including people’s business affairs and relationships. It has labeled many as dishonest.

For example, I had an appointment with one of my sources and I kept on calling on his number, which sounded as if it was off. He could have been doing the same without success.

MTN has of late worsened the communication system instead of simplifying it. But the most annoying part is that, the company has not taken any effort to apologize to its clients.

The only alternative left now, is to resort to pen and internet communications. And those who cannot afford Internet will definitely suffer due MTN’s inconsistence.
