Rwandan music star Benjamin Mugisha, popularly known as The Ben, has gifted his wife Pamela Uwicyeza a brand new mini Range Rover Evoque, The New Times has learnt.

The two dated for four years, and had a civil wedding ceremony in Kigali a few months after Uwicyeza, a former Miss Rwanda contestant, said ‘yes’ to the ‘Why’ hit-maker in a colourful proposal in the Maldives.

"Yes, it’s true The Ben bought the new Range Rover for Pamela,” a trusted source close to the couple told The New Times, adding that the brand new car was bought in Dubai and being shipped to Kigali.

The source, who preferred to speak on grounds of anonymity, also noted that the brand-new car cost The Ben over $50,000 to touch down in Kigali.

"It will be in Rwanda next month,” he added.

The Ben becomes the second Rwandan musician to give his wife a luxurious car after Bruce Melodie who gifted his wife, Catherine Umuhoza, a classy Land Cruiser VX for her birthday early this year.

The Ben remains one of the best musicians to come out of Rwanda with hits like ‘Why’ featuring Diamond Platnumz, ‘Habibi’, ‘Vazi, and ‘Fine Girl’ produced by Krizbeatz, among others.
