I read with awe the story of the headteacher of Kabwende Primary School in Musanze District who was arrested for allegedly defiling his 14-year old female student.

Teachers should always be role models in our society. A head teacher’s integrity must always be beyond reproach no matter what.

I am not condemning the suspect before the court makes a ruling, but nonetheless, this is a decadent act that should heavily be chastised to serve as a lesson to others who may harbour similar thoughts.
