I was impressed with the lead story in yesterday’s edition of The New Times, titled "New senators take oath of office today.”

Your newspaper has explained in great detail what the entitlements of Senators are going to be.

Good governance and transparency are, indeed, great attributes of the New Rwanda. Your article gives the very precise amounts of money, to the nearest Rwandan Franc, the different categories of Senators will receive.

This shows the Government of Rwanda, under the able guidance of President Paul Kagame, in a very positive light and reflects the high degree of transparency even in matters relating to the  salary structures of  Senators.

Wishing the new Senators every success in their service to this great nation - Rwanda.
