Marie Claire Mukasine, 52, holds a PhD in Law and Masters Degree in Management. She was until her election the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure, and Director General of Rwanda Investment Group (RIG).
She also formerly served as a lawyer and judge, and also worked as the Executive Secretary for Haguruka, a local human rights watchdog, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Gender, and Director General of Sonarwa, a local insurance company.
Mukasine also served on various boards of public and private institutions.
Gallican Niyonsaba (Southern Province)
Gallican Niyonsaba, 44, holds a PhD in Education Science, and has served in the Prime Minister’s Office in various capacities, and in several ministries as a policy analyst and strategy developer.
Niyonsaba campaigned on the platform on improving the education system, fighting genocide ideology, as well as advocating for better development policies and laws.
Appolinaire Mushinzimana (Western Province)
Prior to his election, Appolinaire Mushinzimana was the coordinator of the National Decentralisation Implementation Secretariat (NDIS).
Dr Jean Nepomuscene Sindikubwabo (Western Province)
Before his election, he served as the assistant chairperson of RPF in the Western Province, and the Director of Murunda Hospital in Rutsiro District.
Evariste Bizimana (Northern Province)
Eng. Evariste Bizimana, 47, is a former minister of Infrastructure. When he left cabinet, he served as the Executive Secretary of Works for General Interest (TIG) service. Bizimana holds a Masters
Narcisse Musabeyezu (Northern Province)
The 67-year-old holds a Masters Degree in Education.
Musabeyezu worked as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education before he was appointed as the Inspectorate General of Education.
Donatille Mukabalisa (Eastern Province)
Donatille Mukabalisa, 51, formerly served as a Member of Parliament for eight years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and has served in various senior positions in government.
She is also a former Secretary General of the Liberal Party (PL).
