Karate team jets off to world youth championship

Three karate players and their coach Adamov Ruslan leave this afternoon for the world youth and cadet karate youth championship in Melaka-Malaysia scheduled to run from 13-16 October.“It is the first time that we are sending representatives in the youth category but they have been training intensively, so we expect good results,” Didier Guy Rurangayire, the Technical Director in the Karate Federation told Sunday Sport on Saturday.

Three karate players and their coach Adamov Ruslan leave this afternoon for the world youth and cadet karate youth championship in Melaka-Malaysia scheduled to run from 13-16 October.

"It is the first time that we are sending representatives in the youth category but they have been training intensively, so we expect good results,” Didier Guy Rurangayire, the Technical Director in the Karate Federation told Sunday Sport on Saturday.

The trios are: Jean Paul Shyirambere (19yrs), Alain Paul Nsabimana (19yrs) and Christian Rurangayire.

The 7th edition of the games will pull over 30 countries which include the US., Japan, China, Russia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda among others.
