Recently at Christian Life Assemblies (CLA) football pitch, The Kigali International Community School children (KICS) in Gasabo district joined the Saturday football camp for street children in a friendly match.

The friendly football match brought together children from the streets and children from different families whose favourite sport is football.

According to the school director Brian Dolinger, Kigali International Community School started in 2006, it welcomes students from all over the world. The school is basically following the American curriculum system.

In his speech Dolinger said, "The disadvantaged children in the community such as street children, children heading families and other vulnerable children need to be loved and cared for.

Dolinger further said that a community school has a responsibility to bring disadvantaged children closer and interact with them through different activities.

Joseph Kutanwa a teacher in the community class told The New Times that, trough sports and games, gift giving and donations, the class is able to reach out and associate with the vulnerable children in the society.

Jenny Conaway one of the founder members of the Saturday football camp team and a physical education teacher at KICS said that the Saturday football camp team aims at giving football skills to different children.

"Through sharing the word of God we instill discipline and help children raise hope for the future”, Conaway said.
