The African Contact Officers’ Network (AFCON) is meeting  in Kigali to devise better ways to share information needed to further combat trans-border crimes on the continent.

Working together as a team will surely reduce crimes in Africa. Reports indicate that after committing crime the suspects sometimes decide to run and seek refugee in other countries. 

For instance, it is well known that some Genocide suspects are hiding in African countries!

It’s therefore high time African countries worked together to end the culture of impunity.

The partnership between police forces and other law enforcement institutions in investigation and intelligence sharing to curb crimes is a step in the right direction.
