Most of the time we drift through life thinking that we know a lot, but how can we know if we cannot accept the bitter truth that we are born ignorant. To learn, you must be able to ask questions. During the ancient times, our ancestors worshiped the moon as their gods. They would sometimes offer innocent people as sacrifices to appease their so called gods. Then some started asking themselves questions like; “What is this round shinny thing we call our god?” Only then did they learn that it was just a planet with rocks and sand just like earth. Your ability to learn depends on your willingness to let your mind wonder.

The greatest mistake we make is to confuse education with learning. These two are totally different. Education helps us make a living; learning helps us make a life. Education is limited, learning is not. Education is always confined to institutions, learning is free spirited. You can always learn irrespective of where, what or who you are. Education has a price. To learn you need only ask a question. We should make it a norm to learn something new every day, only then will we better ourselves.
There are many ways of learning. One can decide to learn by observation; others can choose to learn orally while others choose to learn by doing. What makes it better is that whichever way you decide to learn, it is free. Learning is general, education is specific. You do not go to school to know how to wash clothes, how to turn on a T.V, how to iron or how to make tea. Such simple basics of life are so important that without knowing them we are nothing. The more we learn the more skillful we become. And thus we should never stop learning, until our good is better and our better is best. The most beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from us.
