What have become of our children?

Editor, I read with dismay an article appeared in yesterday’s issue of The Sunday times titled: “Five arrested over OLPC theft”, where five Groupe Scolaire Kagugu students allegedly stole laptops from their school.  What has become of our children? We work day and night to get their school fees, but instead of working hard to improve academically, they spend time loitering, visiting bars, night clubs or stealing!

Editor,

I read with dismay an article appeared in yesterday’s issue of The Sunday times titled: "Five arrested over OLPC theft”, where five Groupe Scolaire Kagugu students allegedly stole laptops from their school.

What has become of our children? We work day and night to get their school fees, but instead of working hard to improve academically, they spend time loitering, visiting bars, night clubs or stealing!

Students need to realsze that opportunities come only once. Otherwise, they will regret the precious time they wasted in the past. For now, let the law take its own course.
