The move by prison’s bosses to sign performance contracts is commendable and will surely help instill a culture of accountability and transparency among prison officials and ensure effective service delivery.

Government institutions that have embraced performance contracts produce impressive results. Prison district coordinators do not  have any excuse since the targets are clearly listed down.

Since the introduction of performance contracts in the country, leaders have worked with a more focused vision.
