Editor,

The Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF) in conjunction with UNICEF and other partners will today begin  a two-day conference aimed at curbing violence against children in Africa.

The youth is the biggest asset for Africa and are leaders of tomorrow. Leaders should redouble their efforts to protect their rights.

In Rwanda, the implementation of various programs has greatly impacted on reducing child labour.

Violence against children is a big challenge globally. I am happy that the government is strongly committed to the protection of children and a lot has been done to prevent and respond to violence.  Let us help the ministry of Gender and Family Promotion to protect the rights our children.
