Police officers from South Sudan joined their counterparts from the Rwanda National Police for a two -week course that aims at further professionalising the forces of the two countries.
This is inspiring given that Republic of South Sudan, the youngest nation in the world, has started on the right note, working hard to strengthen its new institutions and learn to become a nation on its own, without the Arab North.
The young country is starting from scratch and at a time when the world is facing unpredictable economic times, the young nation remains determined.
The South Sudan situation is similar to Rwanda. A ravaging civil war, poverty and lack of basic infrastructure-Rwanda was in the same predicament.
But 17 years on, the country has moved on. There are a lot of inspiring lesson.
