As a resident of Rwamagana District, the local authority’s decision to take action against stray dogs in the area is welcome.

Several residents are worried of the spread of rabies as most of the dogs are not vaccinated against the disease, which can be fatal to humans.

Their noisy barking and howling is also a menace to the communities. Let us help district leaders to find an immediate solution to the problem.

Other districts should thus emulate the Rwamagana District by laying down tough measures to reduce the dog menace
