Rwandan overseas finds power to forgive

As we approach 14th year of Genocide commemorations, rumours are abounding that Joseph Sebarenzi has forgiven the people who murdered his family during the 1994 Genocide.

Sebarenzi, the exiled former leader of Rwanda’s parliament, hasn’t been back to his country since 2000, but he continues to spread a message of peace and reconciliation in the United States.

An intimate source told our scouts that it took Sebarenzi, who was out of the country at the time of the genocide, many years to get to where he is now.

Sebarenzi, who lives with his family in Virginia and lectures around the country, was heard saying that people sometimes criticize him as uncaring.

They say that to forgive the perpetrators of the country’s ethnic violence, he must have forgotten about the thousands of people, including his family members, who died.

The Kenyan R&B star Nameless, hit Rwandan folks with his blistering music last weekend at the Jungle party at in Kivu Serena.

The singer has proven to the masses that Kenya has its own unique musical talent that can be showcased internationally.

David Mathenge, aka Nameless, is the PAM award nominated singer/songwriter, who won a freestyle battle on Nairobi’s Capital FM, landing himself a recording stint with one of Kenya’s leading music producers Tedd Josiah of Audio Vault Studios.
