Instictively, most men are smitten by women who appear beautiful. There is something about first impressions that leave a permanent imprint on a man’s brain. Beautiful can be defined differently by men from the old adage, ‘beauty lies in the hands of the beholder.’
However, one thing remains true, the general perception that appearance is a component of beauty.
How a woman dresses, maintains her hair and body, all contributes to appearance which can attract or repel potential partners or those (boyfriends and husbands) who are already in a relationship.
In order for a woman to achieve that eye-catching and jaw dropping appearance, they have to work towards it so as to keep that man close like a magnet on metal, among other reasons.
Men are said to be drawn towards the physical beauty of a woman which is a major determining factor on whether they will pursue or trash her.
So, while women work on their character and attitude to amaze the men in their lives, appearance should be given equal attention and footing.
Women ought to pay attention to the clothes, make-up and hair-do’s that they wear. This is actually what keeps men hooked onto them in addition to their character and intelligence.
Leonard Nzabarinda, a 27-year-old resident of Kabeza says the appearance of women matters a lot in keeping their men for only themselves.
Nzabarinda says that women who attempt to over impress men are a complete turn-off instead.
"Women who wear too much make-up and skimpy clothes have the worst appearance that only makes them look like clowns. They will not be taken seriously,” Nzabarinda says.
He adds that women should keep decent while trying to impress or maintain their attractive appearance.
"Real men will only run away from a woman who looks too artificial and indecent,” he adds.
Emmanuel Muhizi, a 36-year-old says he loves a woman who can tease him with her sense of style.
"I would love to see my lady looking more striking by the day. This doesn’t mean she should be revamping her wardrobe with the latest fashion designs.
She would attract me more if she knows how to match and mix her colours of clothes with the right makeup,” Muhizi explains.
Muhizi says that women, who do not bother to take note of their appearance, unknowingly put off their partners.
He observes that some women don’t care about their appearance and so men will opt for the girl who knows how to wear her make-up right and clad the right fitting clothes that flatter her body.
"A woman shouldn’t only try to impress while dating but should endeavor to ignite that extra thing that keeps her man whirling around her little finger,” Muhizi said.
Herbert Nkusi has a thing for hair. He cannot stand a woman who wears wigs because, "wigs give women an unnatural weird look.”
"In order for a woman to stay attractive, she needs to keep her hair kempt and styled but drop the wigs since they only spoil everything. If you can’t treat it, keep it natural and kempt but do not wear wigs,” says Nkusi.
So some men apparently believe that, a woman’s appearance will keep or break a relationship. For this reason, women should try to be keen on their appearance.
