Rwanda faces Burundi in the first leg, preliminary round tie in Kigali on March 30 with the return leg to be played a fortnight later.
Ferwafa CEO, Jules Kalisa confirmed the suspension of league action and said it will resume on April 4.
"Because of the league, the national team has had little to prepare for the Burundi game but at least we’ve called it off until after the first leg has been played," Kalisa noted
