APR coach Ernest Brandts would happily take the Amavubi job if given a chance.
The 55-year-old told Times Sport yesterday that he wouldn’t mind juggling his APR job with that of Amavubi.
"I’m not going to apply for the Amavubi job because that would be in breach of my APR contract but if I’m approached by Ferwafa, it would be a great opportunity for me,” the Dutchman said.
The Amavubi position fell vacant early this month when Sellas Tetteh resigned after a series of disappointing results that included a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to Ivory Coast.
Brandts joined APR in 2010 and won a double (Primus league title and Peace Cup) in his debut season.
He bagged his third trophy early this month when APR beat AS Kigali in the Pre-season Primus Cup final.
Tetteh’s replacement will be named shortly after next month’s 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin.
"There are over ten names for the job and we are looking at all the possible options,” Ferwafa vice president Raoul Gisanura said.
