The Rwandan Embassy in Holland will, today, hold a one-day seminar at the Hague, aimed at showcasing available investment opportunities back home.

Over 100 participants including investors from the European country are expected to attend.

In an interview with The New Times, Ambassador Immaculee Uwanyiligira said that the majority of invited participants are members of the Dutch business community, whose sectors present comparative advantage for Rwanda's key priority sectors. 

"Over 100 participants have registered to attend, three quarters of whom are from the Dutch private sector,” the Ambassador said.

"It is the first step upon which we hope to build a strong foundation for appreciation of Rwandan investment opportunities within the Dutch business community that will spark an interest for investors”.

Ambassador Uwanyiligira said that during the seminar, the Embassy will demonstrate why Rwanda is an attractive investment destination.

The Director General of the National Agriculture Export Board (NAEB), Alex Kanyankole, told The New Times that Rwanda will also showcase the potential in the horticultural industry.

"I am leading a delegation of people to showcase the opportunities in the agricultural sector, especially in horticulture,” he said.

"We are hopeful that we will get a number of people interested in investing in Rwanda’s horticulture industry”.

He noted that horticulture is one of the sectors with a lot of potential and has attracted interest from a number of foreign investors.
