SEC Academy has asked for Rwf 50m before releasing their U-17 national team stars who are now expected to play in the new Primus League.

According to Augustin Munyandamutsa, the president of the second division side, the players who recently graduated into the national U-20 side, still belong to the club.

"We have not yet negotiated with the Sports Ministry on how much they should compensate us but I think Rwf50m is a reasonable figure,” Munyandamutsa said.

The players in question include Steven Ntaribi, Eric Nsabimana, Eugene Habyarimana, Heritier Turatsinze and Shadad Nsengayire.

The U-20 team is expected to be incorporated into the Primus league as soon as logistical and financial issues are resolved.

The team will also include players from APR Academy, Vision, Ferwafa and Rayon Sport.
