Mothers worldwide thank Victor Mills for inventing Pampers—baby dry diapers during the 1960s.

Today millions and millions of women including Rwandan women celebrate the invention of baby diapers.

A night without a baby wearing a diaper is the worst moment a mother can ever have during her nursing period. The usage of diapers has made it easy for both working mothers and housewives.

Working mothers are able to send their children to Day Care Centers with no worries. Diapers help children keep dry and clean throughout the day.

A housewife is able to do all her household chores without worrying about washing and ironing baby nappies.

Much as we praise diapers, not every type of diaper is safe for a baby. Diapers come in different makes and mothers have to be keen and cautious on which diaper to use.

Many of these diapers have their originals and duplicates.  Original diapers are extra soothing and comfortable for the baby. If well used, original diapers cannot cause rush on the baby’s skin.

A baby should not spend more than four hours wearing a diaper. Extra hours may lead to discomfort and rash outbreaks.

Pampers come in many sizes and kilograms. A new born cannot put on a diaper of a 10 month old baby. Choosing the right size of diaper is very crucial.

Though diapers are important, they also have side effects both on our children and the environment. As I mentioned earlier, if not well used, diapers can cause rash on the baby’s skin. However, this can be avoided by changing promptly.

Secondly, pampers are made from chemicals and synthetic materials that are non-biodegradable. No matter how long you keep disposable diapers buried, they still won’t rot, instead they accumulate over time.

This environmental disadvantage is still a challenge but the fact remains that, diapers saved mothers.A day without a diaper is stressful and a baby with one is a joyful bundle. A great day to all mothers.
