The Managing Director of Thousand Hills Events Ltd has announced an event dubbed "Rwanda Women in Business Awards (RWIBA) 2023,” scheduled to take place at Kigali Marriott Hotel on Friday, March 24.
The special event is an award ceremony aimed at acknowledging and appreciating the roles played by business women in building Rwanda’s economy.
According to Nathan Ntaganzwa, the objective of the award ceremony is to celebrate wins and share achievements to motivate people and businesses.
They aim to promote diversity and inclusion by showcasing Rwanda's progress towards inclusivity goals, especially in the health, agriculture, manufacturing, and education sectors.
Their cause, as noted, is to support gender equality and women empowerment in the country. Diversity and inclusion have a positive impact on: private sector growth, job opportunities, as well as national income, he noted.
"The values here are to inspire, encourage and empower,” he noted.
The Rwanda Women in Business Awards is an annual event that started in 2022.
The event to be held on Friday is the second edition.
The unique part of this year’s edition is that 30 women, one from each of the country’s 30 districts, will be recognized and awarded for the distinctive services and leadership roles leading the development of their communities dubbed as Community Builders.
