POLICE will be gunning for revenge when they take on APR in this afternoon’s Primus Cup semi-finals clash at Amahoro stadium.

The law enforcers lost all their encounters last against the military side which included a 4-2 defeat in the Peace Cup final.

Coach Goran Kopunovic is keen on guiding the side to their first ever piece of silverware and was seen on Thursday afternoon scribbling notes during APR’s 4-0 win over Marines.

Although they only trained for a few days and are still missing many key players, APR players led by new signings Olivier Karekezi and Dan Wagaluka showed that they will not allow any complacency as they seek to add more trophies to their already decorated cabinet.

The military side was in their usual pomp as they run down a hapless Marines side that could have gotten a severe beating had APR used their strong side.

Police overcame Rayon Sports one penalty kicks 4-2 after normal time had ended 1-1.

In the earlier kick off, AS Kigali will play La Jeunesse. Both clubs dismantled the status quo after defeating giants Kiyovu and Etincelles respectively.

The final will be played tomorrow at the same venue with winner walking away with Rwf 5m, while the runners-up and third place team will pocket Rwf 3m and Rwf 1m respectively.

The Primus preseason tournament is the curtain raiser to the new league season which is schedule to kicks off on next weekend.
