Allow me to express my concern over the suffering of our Somali brothers and sisters in currently in refugee camps in Kenya following a famine outbreak in their home country. As we sympathise with those who have lost their children due to hunger, I call upon all Rwandan youth to join the crusade.

We should stand with them at this time of need. I thank the Rwandan government which has already offered support towards the cause.

The AU has also committed aid. I also urge more civil society organisations and well-endowed individuals to urgently come on board. Otherwise, the long-term health of thousands of people is at stake.
