Yesterday La Colombiere 1-2 Kitende LA COLOMBIERE School got off to a poor start on their debit in the East Africa post primary games after losing 1-2 to four-time defending champions Kitende on the opening day. The match was played at Kakyeka stadium, Mbarara in Uganda.

LA COLOMBIERE School got off to a poor start on their debit in the East Africa post primary games after losing 1-2 to four-time defending champions Kitende on the opening day. The match was played at Kakyeka stadium, Mbarara in Uganda.
The Rwandan school took the lead in the 29th minute through Isaac Muganza, but the reigning champions came back strongly and scored two second half goals through Musa Nakibinge and Malvin Wasswa.
La Colombiere were reduced to ten men after David Nzabanita was sent off for a second bookable foul midway through the first half.
Rwanda is represented by GS St Joseph Kabgayi in volleyball, La Colombiere School [football], Solidarity academy and Remera Rukoma [women football], APAPEKI Cyuru in [Handball], St. Joseph Kabgayi [Basketball] and Groupe Scolaire Gahini [Netball].
The Games are being played at Kakyeka stadium mainly, but the grounds of Ntare School, Mbarara High and St Josephs Vocational are also being used.
Uganda was called on short notice to host the games after Tanzania pulled out. Over 2,000 students from the five East African countries as well as Zanzibar and South Sudan have sent participants to the tournament.
This is the fourth time that Uganda is hosting the event. St Mary’s Kitende have lifted the boys’ soccer trophy four years in a row.
