FIVE local coaches are in Germany to undergo an international training course in Koblenz which has the level of a DFB C coaching license and Uefa B level.

According to Rwanda football body, Ferwafa, five coaches were picked from a selection of coaches after undergoing a series of interviews held early this month.

They five coaches namely Jean Paul Kalisa, Abdul Karim Mukiza, Moussa Hakizimana, Anne Mbonimpa and Theogenie Mukamusonera. They left the country Saturday night aboard Ethiopian airways.

The training which starts today will end on September 15 attracting coaches from Rwanda, Ghana, Japan, China, Hungary, Czech Republic, Norway and Poland.

The training course has been financed by the Football and cultural association Rhineland-Palatinate and participants are set to be accommodated in the sport school Oberweth in Koblenz.

Some of the coaches who have profited from these trainings include Vincent Mashami (Rwanda U-17’s assistant coach) and Sosteine Habimana (former AS Muhanga’s head coach).

The pair attained A-Level coaching licenses by the German Football Federation (DFB) last year.

In recent years, DFB and FERWAFA have enjoyed a long-standing partnership to promote popular sport as well as youth and women’s football.
