The South African Airways recommencement of flights to Kigali in October this year demonstrates the country’s attractiveness to investment.

Increased connectivity will certainly facilitate visitor arrivals into the country. The SAA move endorses the fact that Rwanda tourism always pro-actively explores avenues to make it easier for both tourists and business travellers to visit this beautiful land.

Recently, your newspaper reported that Turkish Airlines would commence flights into Kigali from April 2012. I am confident that with the rapid increase in both tourists and business travellers from India , it will not be long before we have one of our Indian airline firms considering Rwanda as a hub and commence operations into Kigali. 

The strong investment climate cultivated by the Rwanda Development Board coupled with the country’s continuous innovations is bound to make Rwanda a much sought after destination in the coming years.
