Another Anglophone School, Nu-Vision high school, officially opened it doors last week. The school located in the out skirts of Kigali close to Kabuga town is run by the Nu-Vision Ministries (NVM) a local based non-governmental organization.

The school’s principle, Chebes Celestin, revealed that Nu-Vision high school started teaching senior one and two students in January 2008 at the beginning of this academic year.

"Since then, new programmes have been introduced and more emphasis is put in science subjects,” said Celestin.
The boarding school so far has 97 students 52 of whom are girls. It has 8 teachers, all them university graduates.

"We insist on quality education and insert Christian values in the children,” he said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the guest of honour, and Minister in the President’s Office, Professor Romain Murenzi, thanked the proprietors of the school and promised them as much support as possible.

"We will give as much as we can to make this dream come true. The school will be supported to become a centre of experts in science and technology,” Murenzi said.
He donated 10 computers to the school.

"Following our excellence in national examinations last year, we look up to this school to add to the new blend of education in our area,” said Nyirawagaga Claudine, Gasabo district Mayor.

Ray Dunn, NVM’s General Secretary based in Canada wished the students success in everything and promised to always stand by Rwandans in their efforts to educate and raise their children.
