Forget about going to the discotheque to dance out your frustrations like some of us do when we reach our boiling point. The new thing on the block is Salsa dancing. One of my friends decided to register for salsa dancing to prepare herself for her wedding day; little did she know that not only will she finish her class as a better dancer, but also leaner and healthier. Now this friend is very happy with herself and according to her she is going to look like a cinderella- thanks to Salsa.

Forget about going to the discotheque to dance out your frustrations like some of us do when we reach our boiling point. The new thing on the block is Salsa dancing.

One of my friends decided to register for salsa dancing to prepare herself for her wedding day; little did she know that not only will she finish her class as a better dancer, but also leaner and healthier. Now this friend is very happy with herself and according to her she is going to look like a cinderella- thanks to Salsa.

Music and dancing has been part of many different cultures for centuries, because it has always been part of any celebration and entertainmet as well. It is amazing to now note that all professional dancers have always been leaner and strong, why we never noticed this until now is what beats me. Salsa dancing has taken the dancing level a notch higher; not only is dancing salsa fun, but it is an enjoyable way to stay fit and even shed off some weight.

The training for Salsa dance is usually very rigorous and thus experts say that it burns more calories per hour than riding a bike or swimming, this is amazing! Below are few things that Salsa dancing helps one to achieve;

Relieves stress

 Helps you release toxins via sweating

May help lower blood pressure and improve cholesterol levels

Can lead to a reduced heart rate over time

Dancing Salsa is a unique form of exercise because it provides the heart-healthy benefits of an aerobic exercise while also allowing you to engage in a social activity. Like any form of dancing, salsa dance is a way to get your body to become more active. You can get many aerobic benefits from running or walking, too, but unlike salsa dance, those forms of exercise can get stale and leave you lacking motivation. Salsa dancing incorporates exercise routine into life and you can keep your exercise experiences fun and fresh. Salsa dancers are also advised on what foods to eat, which will help them maintain their weight which is crucial in Salsa dancing. In fact people who attend Salsa class will tell you the difference they feel in their lives after a short period of time. According to my friend it makes you feel younger both inside and out.

Unfortunately I have not heard of anyone offering Salsa classes around, but there are CD’s and DVD’s being sold. One can follow what is on the CD or DVD and eventually be a perfect picture of themselves both in dancing and having a beautiful body which will helps one to stay fit and healthy.
